The Righteous Brothers released “Unchained Melody” back in 1965 but it still plays on the radio today and sounds just as good! It’s just as great as it always was.
“Unchained Melody” still plays on the radio and has been featured in countless movies. It even made it back on the Billboard Top 100 after it was used in the film “Ghost” starring Patrick Swayze.
But did you know that the song actually was written ten years earlier? It was written in 1955 and was written for a movie called “Unchained.” The Righteous Brothers really made it their own though.
There are now more than 1,500 different versions and it’s been covered by more than 670 different notable artists across the world.
Does it get any better than this?
