A six-week-old baby in Connecticut has passed away due to coronavirus, which is being said is the one of the youngest deaths connected to COVID-19, as reported by the NYPost
Governor Ned Lamont explained in a statement on Wednesday that the baby was sent to the hospital unresponsive last week. Sadly, the six-week-old infant's life could not be saved.
The governor also said that the infant had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday night.

Governor Lamont went to social media to express his feelings over the loss: He said, it was “absolutely heartbreaking,” and that: “This is a virus that attacks our most fragile without mercy.”
The governor believes that, “this is one of the youngest lives lost anywhere due to complications relating to COVID-19.”

“This also stresses the importance of staying home and limiting exposure to other people,” he tweeted. “Your life and the lives of others could literally depend on it. Our prayers are with the family at this difficult time.”
Thus far in the United States more than 200,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, resulting in over 5,000 deaths. Those figures are expected to rise in the coming weeks.
