A senior choir performed for inmates at a county jail, and it has a lot of people talking.
The Young@Heart Chorus is a group of people that love to sing and are still young at heart. They went to the Hampshire County jail in 2013 to perform, but they didn’t expected to have such a strong effect on the inmates there.
They sang “Forever Young” after learning one of their chorus members had passed away that morning. Their performance left a few inmates with tears in their eyes and the rest gave them a standing ovation. It’s a pretty great moment.
The Young@Heart Chorus features singers ranging in age from 73-91, some are former professionals and some just love to sing.
