FDA Issues Recall Of Ragu Pasta Sauces After Discovery Of Plastic Fragments

If you make pasta on a regular basis, chances are you also make sure you always have pasta sauce on hand. If your family loves the taste of Ragu pasta sauce, you probably have a jar or two on stand-by in your pantry. If that’s the case, listen up.
Ragu and the Food and Drug Administration have announced a recall for several types of Ragu pasta sauce. Although no injuries have been reported, there is a chance that the pasta sauce might have fragments of plastic in the jars.
The recalled pasta sauce was produced between June 4th and June 8th, 2019. The jars have already been removed from store shelves, but if you stocked up your pasta sauce supply recently, it’s possible that you have some of the recalled sauce in your home.
Go check your pantry and see if you have any of the following jars of 45 ounce or 66 ounce sauce:

If you find that you have any of this potentially contaminated pasta sauce in your kitchen, you have 2 options. You can either bring the jars back to the store where you bought them for a refund, or you can call the customer service hotline for Mizkan America, the company that makes Ragu pasta sauce, and ask for a coupon for a replacement jar of sauce. The hotline is 800-328-7248.
