10-yr-old genius creates innovative device to prevent children from dying in hot cars after neighbor’s death

712 little kids have died in hot cars since about 1998 and that’s much too many, and one 10-year-old came up with a brilliant invention that could save kids in the future. His name is Bishop Curry and he could save countless lives.
The McKinney, Texas boy created a genius device he’s calling The Oasis. It’ll monitor temperatures inside the car and when it reaches a certain temperature, it will emit cool air while also utilizing an antenna to notify local emergency responders as well as parents.
The idea came to Curry after his 6-month-old neighbor died earlier in the year. He’s created a 3-D model of the device and has already raised over $24,000 to go toward manufacturing device and securing a patent.
