Becoming a professional singer is something that many young kids dream about. It's exciting, fun, and there's also a promise for stardom one day. But of course, it takes a lot of training, dedication, and hard work to chase after that dream.
Cora Harkin is already striving to head toward stardom. She may only be 9-years-old, but Cora already has a voice of a seasoned professional. Fortunately, this young girl is ready to take her dreams to the next level and she's letting the world know all about it. Cora made her big TV debut on Ireland's Got Talent. She didn't hold back with her song choice - going for the legendary Barbra Streisand's "Don't Rain on My Parade."
We've all heard Barbra Streisand sing before. Whether it was the lovelorn anthems "Woman in Love," "Tell Him," or her Broadway gems "Send in the Clowns" or "Something's Coming" from West Side Story, there's always something about Barbra's voice that brings magic to any stage.
Little Cora could be well on her way to following Miss Streisand's footsteps. With her strong voice and natural stage presence, this young girl's talent is making us say, "a star is born!"
Cora made sure to make an impact the minute she stepped on the Ireland's Got Talent stage. In a blue denim dress and curly pigtails, she instantly captured the hearts of the judges and audience. But Cora wasn't there to impress them with her appearance, she was there to stun them with her talent.
And she did exactly that. As soon as Cora opened her mouth to sing, she left everyone speechless. Cora channeled her inner Barbra Streisand as she belted out the words to "Don't Rain on My Parade."
