Announcer Makes Last Minute Call For National Anthem Singer - Teen Steps Up With Voice That Makes Eyes Bulge

Isaac Bryant, a junior at Mechanicsburg High School, was resting to ease his nerves before his wrestling match at theDivision III District Wrestling Championships at Hobart, Arena in Troy, Ohio. But he woke up when he heard the announcer looking for a volunteer to sing the National Anthem. Apparently, the person who was supposed to sing the National Anthem did not arrive and they did not have a recording to play. "I was dazed and confused and I just thought they might just need somebody to do it," Isaac said in an interview with FOX News.
Mia Richardson, a resident of Troy, Ohio, captured the moment on video and uploaded it on Facebook. Since then, the video has received almost 7,000 likes and shares each, and viewed more than 550,000 times in just a week. It has also grabbed the attention of news outlets and news TV shows, including an appearance on Fox and Friends. The show flew Isaac and his parents to the New York City set and was interviewed by the hosts, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade.
During his interview with Fox and Friends, Bryant said, "I sing a lot. I guess that's kind of a part of me. That's what I do. I'm a little bit of a performer if you haven't noticed." But, he told Fox and Friends, that he has never sung the National Anthem in public before. But when the organizer of the Ohio D-III District Wrestling Championship asked if anyone could volunteer, his friends urged him to raise his hand because they knew he does sing.
His parents were also present during the wrestling championship meet and could not have been more proud of their son. "I was just so proud. We were used to the voice but I guess it was the heart he put into it. It brought tears to our eyes," his mom, told Steve Doocy. When the hosts asked his father, Barry Bryant, he said, "Nothing he does surprises me because he's pretty good at everything he does."
Professional and amateur singers alike have sung the National Anthem across many venues and is regularly performed at sporting events both professional and non-professional. It is also popular to be performed by orchestras gathering at social events. It is notoriously difficult to sing and easy to forget the words as nerves build up. But not for Isaac, not only did he nail the song, he also sung from his heart.
And when Isaac was asked what made him more nervous, singing live at the tournament a few minutes after volunteering or waiting a few days before his Fox and Friends appearance, he replied that the TV show appearance made him more nervous.
