Bath salts can make people do horrific things, including biting and killing innocent people. However, when one man drugged up guy decided to invade a home, he met his match, and he was the one left terrified after he saw what was in the hand of a teen, who was not about let himself or his loved ones become the druggy’s next victim.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Salem, Oregon. When they arrived on the scene, a father and his teenaged son were attempting to restrain a home invader, who was doped up on bath salts. Deputies were able to jump into the fray and restrain the suspect, arresting him. However, their jaws dropped when they heard the story of how the teenager was able to subdue the 25-year-old man, who was attacking his father.
Jesus Ceja, who is only 14 years old, says Mario Vega-Navarro entered his home around 5 pm Wednesday night, an hour before sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene. He said the suspect told him he was looking for his aunt and uncle. After being informed that he had entered the wrong house, Vega-Navarro left, only to return and break in through a downstairs door. He then tried to steal a pair of shoes, but Jesus was not going to let him get away with it.

“My dad gave him several warnings that he could leave without any problems and stuff,” Jesus recalled. “As soon as that happened, he started getting mad, clinched his fists and hit my dad. After that, like I just looked to my right, I see the beers and I see this,” Jesus told the local news, raising the power grinder in his hand. “I just grabbed the beer packs and start smashing them on his head … I grabbed this [grinder], and went bang, bang, bang.”
Jesus used a pack of beer and a power grinder to hit the suspect as he continued to make threats and attempted to hurt Jesus and his father. “He was like, ‘I’m going to kill you guys!’ I’m like, ‘I’m not going to let this guy do anything,'” said Jesus Ceja. “He had crazy eyes!”
Deputies say the suspect’s behavior was consistent with someone under the influence of bath salts, a powerful and mind-altering illegal drug. Deputies say he had to be sedated before he was taken to the hospital.
“Now, I carry a bat in my room,” Jesus said laughing. “Just in case!”
