A Father Died In The Freezing Cold, Suddenly Homeless Man Sees Note Hanging From Tree With His Name On It
By Dreamer

It was three years ago when Nicole Uriona founded a campaign called “Take This and Keep Warm.” Every year, she would go to different parks in the Denver area to hang winter clothing along with accessories on tree in order for homeless to find them so they can have something warm to wear.
This idea was an inspiration from Nicole's father, Craig, who was a homeless man for over 10 years. He was staying in a shelter as she thought of the idea for this inspiring movement.
During one winter a few years back, Denver residents were hit with very cold weather. Craig's place inside of the shelter was gone and he was forced to go back into the streets. Once the harsh winter temperatures dropped to a harmful level, her father Craig's only shelter was in an alleyway.
Craig died in the middle of the night from hypothermia.
In the wake of Craig’s death, Nicole thought about canceling her campaign to grieve. Not only did she decide to keep the tradition alive, but this time, she dedicated her efforts to her dad.
With the help of dozens of local volunteers, Nicole attached notes with her father’s name to the winter clothing dangling off tree branches.
One homeless man couldn’t believe it when he saw the colorful scarves, mittens, and clothing ready for the taking. At first, he thought they were decorations for someone’s party.
But when he realized they were free winter garments?
“My heart just stopped. It is a blessing.”
