Man Realizes His Girlfriend Is Dead, Takes Unusual Action Before He Calls The Police
By Dreamer

A man in Utah woke up to a nightmare no one would ever want to be apart of. His girlfriend had been killed and it was because of him that her life was taken from her. Sorrow wasn't exactly what he was feeling as his actions displayed a different emotion. His next move was something none of us would ever even consider doing, especially in this scenario.
Mark James Wyler went on a late evening joyride with his 20-year-old girlfriend, Cierra Perez, in Toquerville Falls, Utah. The small dirt road they were driving on was a bit challenging to travel on, however, once alcohol was added to the equation, things became more dangerous, especially since there is nothing stopping the care from tipping over the cliff.

Fatal scene caused by Wyler drunk driving
The couple’s car rolled off the road and fell about 200 feet into a ravine, ejecting Perez from the car, while Wyler had blacked out from his injuries. He didn’t come to until the following morning around 5 a.m., when he looked around and realized what happened. His girlfriend was on the ground outside the vehicle.
Wyler felt her body which was cold to the touch, and he could tell she had died. But before calling police, he popped open a couple of beers he had in his car and tossed back some cold ones, as if it was a casual afternoon on the porch and his girlfriend’s dead body wasn’t in sight.

Rollover crash that killed Perez
About an hour and a half after waking up and refueling his beer buzz, Wyler wandered into cell range and called 911, letting the dispatcher know that he believed Perez was dead since his efforts to wake her failed. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed her death. Police recovered an empty Redd’s Apple Ale case and noted there were partially consumed beer bottles strewn about the wreckage, Fox 13 reported.
Wyler was taken to an area hospital and treated for his injuries, where he provided an admission to police that he had been drinking and caused the accident. He was charged with DUI and negligent homicide for the “dangerous manner” in which he was driving, despite the fact that his blood-alcohol level at the hospital was 0.000. Since officers couldn’t perform a field sobriety test at the scene, it had probably been long enough before the BAC test for his system to clear any traces of alcohol.
