Serge Belo is a Canadian artist who created, what he calls, the world’s largest water mosaic covering 3,600 square feet.
He created the water mosaic to raise awareness about the shortage of clean water globally.
He used 66,000 cups and filled them with colored rainwater to represent the levels of impurities found in water across the world.
The artwork depicts a fetus in the womb, emphasizing the inseparable connection between water and life, even before birth.
This monumental achievement took more than 100 volunteers over 62 hours to fill 66,000 compostable cups with 15,000 liters of rainwater colored with 1 kg of vegetable-based food coloring.
