Everyone please read this and share with others. This information is too important to ignore! My son was killed because he placed a single leaf inside of his mouth. Seconds later, his tongue started to swell up due to a reaction that caused him to suffocate, ultimately ending his life.
This plant is an every day plant and can be seen in offices, homes and stores everywhere. It is very deadly as well as dangerous, and the poison inside of this plant will kill a child in less than 30 seconds and will kill the average adult in less than 15 minutes. If you touch this plant, never place your fingers in your eyes, this could cause you to become permanently blind. Every reader should warn their friends and family about this deadly plant.
Thus began a chain to share information in an effort to protect people from this plant that could cost you your life.
It all started when a young boy named Esteban, 5 years old, was playing with the plant. The chemical is found in a plant known as Diefenbaker or better known in countries of Latin America as Amoena , which is very common plant . It is a very popular indoor plant since it has great resistance / hardness to be in the shade without the need for sunlight, but one should be careful, especially with children, because of its high rate of poisoning if it is to be consumed.
Reports in the United States, shows 64,250 cases of poisoning with plants per year, of which 75% were children under 5 years.
If someone suffered a poisoning from Diefenbaker, the National Library of Medicine of the United States recommends that you clean the mouth with a cold , wet cloth, rinse your eyes and any other area you had contact with the plant, and to drink milk of the plant was ingested. Then consult a care center immediately.
