Toddler Vanished From Her Crib. Mom Didn't Know What Happened, Then She Sees The Camera Footage

Mom could not understand why her fifteen-month-old baby kept leaving the crib. Every night the little toddler would someone escape the confines of the bed and leave the room to wander the house while her parents were fast asleep. It worried Chloe’s mom because her baby could get hurt or injured if she fell down the stairs or got under the kitchen skin.
Because Chloe’s parents, Nina and Chris, did not understand how such a young baby could escape the crib – they thought they had at least another year before she could be able to do that – they needed to get to the bottom of the problem. That’s when they decided to review the home security footage to see if they could determine why Chloe got out every night.
Before busting out the camera footage, they tried to get Chloe to confess. But all she could do was “goo” and “gaa” and didn’t have the vocabulary to explain her complicated escape plan to her interested parents no matter how badly she would have wanted to.
“We were shocked! How was she able to get out of bed?” Chris told ABC News. “This is the first time she’s ever made an escape like this. Did she grow?”
Only after the baby cam was installed and Chris and Nina examined the footage did they realized how Chloe got out of her crib every night so she could wander the house alone.
Most of the footage was boring. It showed Chloe sleeping. She might toss and turn a bit, but otherwise, nothing happened. Then they saw the culprits. Two large dogs came into Chloe’s room and proceeded to cause trouble.
The dogs were the family’s two, large golden retrievers. And they had gotten enough rest and were ready to spark some mischief. And as the dogs understood, every baby is ready to participate in mischief whenever they can.
As it turned out, the dogs would break into Chloe’s bedroom and then jump onto her crib and wake her up. When she saw the golden retrievers, she couldn’t help but smile. She didn’t mind losing sleep for something as fun as hanging out with the pups.
From there, the pups would urge Chloe to climb the crib and escape so they could frolic and play in the house at night.
With the mystery solved, Nina and Chris had a few options. They could either keep the dogs contained at night, or they could keep Chloe contained. Either option could have worked wonderfully.
Now that the family knew what was up, they realized they might have protected the house from the baby getting hurt, but they needed to do something to stop the dogs from getting to their daughter at night. Chris had an idea.
“I knew we had to childproof our house,” Chris said. “Guess we’ll have to dog-proof it too!”
Although it was cute watching the footage, Nina and Chris are not interested in having their dogs help Chloe out of bed every night.
