Wife Discovers Old Letter In Floorboards. The Second She Reads It, Her Eyes Widen
By Dreamer

Melissa Fahy was very happy to have her New Jersey Home renovated. She couldn't wait to get started on this new project. However as she started, she came across an amazing discovery in the floorboards of the attic staircase. It was a vintage yellow letter that was dated all the way back to May 4, 1945. As they read the mysterious sheet of paper, they realized the words written on it were so compelling that they had to find its owner.

The letter actually was a love note written by Virginie Christoffersen and addressed to her husband Rolf E. Christoffersen who was serving in World War II. The beautiful, heartfelt letter spoke of their deep and true love, but also the void Virginie felt with her husband serving in the war halfway around the world. Melissa just knew she had to track down the couple or their family members and reunite them with the letter.

Thanks to social media, Melissa found Rolf! The 96-year-old veteran of the Norwegian Navy was now living in southern California, a widower of six years. Reading her passionate words once again meant the world to him. "I love you, Rolf, as I love the warm sun, and that is what you are for my life, the sun about which everything else revolves for me." Watch Rolf's tear-jerking response to Melissa in the Inside Edition video below. It's a captivating story that will tug on your heartstrings and restore your faith in true love!
