Thinking back to our younger years, when we were 13 years old, most of us were focused on things like getting good grades in school, puppy love and going outside to play with our friends. However, this wasn't the case for Solomia Lukyanets. Of course she thinks about these things as well but she's also focused on being the winner of the hit tv show, The Voice!
After years of singing as a child and refining her skills as a teen, Solomia is ready to share her passion for music with the world! That love for singing is what led Solomia to enter into The Voice Kids: Germany - she never expected to make it so far...
Solomia comes from incredibly humble beginnings. She was born on April 24, 2001 in Kiev, Ukraine and grew up without many of the conveniences we're used to in America. Despite the struggles she and her family went through when she was a child, Solomia is an accomplished figure in the music world. According to the Beautiful Genuises website, she's taken home titles such as first place in the World of Talents, World of Talents: International, Magic Candle International, New Wave Junior, International Competition of Young Opera Singers and second place in the Voice Kids Ukraine in 2012. So, it makes sense that she would totally knock her rendition of "Say Goodbye" by Andrea Bocelli out of the park.
As soon as the instrumental begins to play over the loudspeakers, Solomia starts to croon the lyrics into the microphone. The audience watches in awe, and one of the judges even bursts out in tears. The emotion she was able to pour into the song is something you hear from veterans in the music industry, not a teenager!
