Dogs in particular know how to fit into into the family bonding without you even realizing they they fit right into the mold. These canines will become part of your life, an integral part that you could not live without. But owning a dog is not always a walk in the park – although it should be at least once per day.
It is a lot of hard work. You need to take them to the vet, make sure they get their exercise, and not leave them alone for too long. But you also need to perform odd tasks for your dogs. One of those is clipping their toenails.
And if your dog is anything like the ones I’ve know, seeing the clippers sends them into a frenzy. They’ll do anything to avoid the routine. And even if you try to make the tasks as gentle as possible for the dog, they will act as they’ll never trust you again. Good thing a dog’s short-term memory is only about five minutes long.
Clipping a dog’s nails is painstaking work. And if you’ve ever clipped a bit too far, you know how much pain you’ve caused your furry friend. The job needs to be done, but it needs to be done with care. And that can be very hard when the canine if fighting you tooth and nail not to have to get his nails clipped.
Kendal Peifer decided to share a strange tip to clip a dog’s toenails that works. She had witnessed her dad doing it to their family dog before and finally got it on video on February 10, 2018. She tweeted a photo of how her dad clipped the dog’s nails and shared it out to her followers on Twitter. Before long, the moment went viral, and thousands of people were discussing it with their friends and followers.
So what is the trick? Dad uses gravity to his advantage. In the photo, you can see how he has hung the dog in a hammock from the doorjamb. It is really just a cheap purse that he has cut to suit his canine better. It’s a marvelous trick for anyone who has a smaller dog that needs to get their toenails clipped.

With the Boston terrier plopped into the hanging purse, dad can clip the dog’s toenails without much resistance. The dog can relax and allow dad to do his duty without having to feel the stress he usually does with the task.
Twitter users loved it, absolutely loved it.

Having a trick to help your dog go through life with a little less stress is a wonderful thing. We’re glad that Kendall managed to snap a picture of her dad grooming their Boston terrier with his purse hack. Other people will be following his lead soon enough.
