For Mother's Day, Try These Simple and Inexpensive DIY Gifts Any Mother Can Use
By Dreamer

When it comes to DIYing a Mother's Day gift, the first thought that comes into people's minds are those necklaces made from cereal or pasta hearts on construction paper. However, we are not 3rd graders. Although I’m positive your mother would appreciate and love it if you brought the pasta art back, we’re are confident that she would really love something she can actually use everyday.
And That’s where these 6 DIY gifts come into play. Each one of these gifts are actually simple to make, look fantastic, cost very little, and are something that mom will love and use almost every day. Does it get any better than that? Watch the video below to see how you can make these crafts worthy of your mama.
Because some of these gifts are smaller than others, I was thinking about maybe making one or two to give to mom this year. I mean they’re so simple and inexpensive, I think we can all afford to whip a few of these projects! Besides…it’s so hard to choose just one!
HAND PAINTED UTENSILS
YOU’LL NEED
– Wooden kitchen utensils
– Painter’s tape
– Acrylic paint
– Twine
STEP 1: Section off the handle of your utensils however you would like.
STEP 2: Paint in the sections.
STEP 3: Put the utensils upside down in a cup to let the handles dry.
STEP 4: Once dry, tie together with twine and give to mom.
SUCCULENT GARDEN
YOU’LL NEED
– A large pot
– Potting soil
– Succulents
– Twine
STEP 1: Fill the bottom of the pot with soil.
STEP 2: Line up your succulents however you want and fill in the sides with soil.
STEP 3: Tie the pot with twine for a rustic touch.
Make sure there’s some way to drain this pot so the roots don’t rot! Mom won’t appreciate that.
ESSENTIAL OIL SALT BATH
YOU’LL NEED
– Coarse salt
– Essential oils
– Eucalyptus
– Little jar
STEP 1: Pour out your coarse salt and sprinkle the lavender oil all over, kneading it through.
STEP 2: Add a few drops of eucalyptus and knead through.
STEP 3: Put your salt into a small jar and top off with a decorative label.
HERB INFUSED OLIVE OIL
YOU’LL NEED
– Bottle
– Seasoning (She does rosemary and chili flakes with garlic)
– Olive oil
STEP 1: Place your seasoning into your jars.
STEP 2: Fill with olive oil.
STEP 3: Cap your bottles and put on some decorative labels.
FLAVORED BUTTER
YOU’LL NEED
– Unsalted butter
– Honey, herbs, ect.
– Bowl
– Mixing spoon
– Jars
STEP 1: Put 1-2 sticks of butter in a bowl.
STEP 2: Cover with herbs, honey, or whatever you would like!
STEP 3: Mix and store in small jars. Refrigerate before gifting.
THE ULTIMATE BASKET
YOU’LL NEED
– A wire basket
– Shredded crinkle paper
– Anything your heart desires
STEP 1: Fill the bottom of your basket with crinkle paper.
STEP 2: Fill with all your goodies!
For the person (like me) who likes ALL of these gifts and cannot decide, this last gift is the perfect compromise! Make a few gifts, and pick up some other odds and ends mom will love, and fill a basket with everything. Who wouldn’t want to get a gift like this?
