Happy birthday, Betty White.
The longtime comedian and actress, who turned 96 on Wednesday, attributes her advanced age to “vodka and hot dogs, ‘probably in that order,’ ” she told Parade magazine.
WOW! Who would've thought!
White has won six Emmy Awards and is most noted for her work in “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “The Golden Girls.”

The entertainer has been vocal throughout her 75-year career about her love of hot dogs and junk food. "I don't eat a proper diet," White told Harper's Bazaar in 2014. "Lunch is usually a hot dog and French fries, or something equally devilish. Red Whips are my curse," she said.
The Oak Park, Illinois, native comes by her love of hot dogs honestly - Chicago and its surrounding suburbs are home to some of the best hot dogs in America!
She may be on to something — a recent study found that adults who were moderate drinkers were more than 20% less likely to die early of any cause.

Betty White has always said that she plans to work up until the day she dies, and at 96 years young, she’s not kidding. Betty says that she has inked a deal with Netflix to star in a Golden Girls reboot! How exciting! Netflix acquired the rights to the show from NBC, and Betty will appear once again as her iconic character, Rose Nylund, for a series reboot filming this year.
"Enjoy life. Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, 'Hey, that was great!' It's not hard to find great stuff if you look," she said.
Betty's secret to longevity is almost as surprising as the 104 year old woman who claims Diet Coke is her secret to a long life.
Theresa Rowley, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, celebrated her birthday with a cake on January 1.

'When I was 100, I thought I'd never be 104,' she told WZZM. 'Then I turn 101, and nothing happens... Here I am 104, and still nothing happens.'
The care home resident has revealed she consumes at least one can of the soda a day.
'I drink it because I like it,' she explained. 'I'm going shopping Wednesday, and I need more Diet Coke. I have a bag full of empty Diet Coke cans that I need to return to buy more Diet Coke.'
But scientists would disagree that the beverage had helped give her another 36 years of life – diet soda has repeatedly been linked to obesity, diabetes, stroke and dementia in studies.
According to Health, Diet Coke can lead to greater weight gain than those who don’t drink it, and more serious problems such as diabetes.
Researchers from the University of Texas found that over the course of about a decade, diet soda drinkers had a 70% greater increase in waist circumference compared with non-drinkers. And get this: participants who slurped down two or more sodas a day experienced a 500% greater increase.

Drinking one diet soda a day was associated with a 36% increased risk of metabolic syndrome and diabetes in a University of Minnesota study. Metabolic syndrome describes a cluster of conditions (including high blood pressure, elevated glucose levels, raised cholesterol, and large waist circumference) that put people at high risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
When you drink diet soda, you’re not taking in any calories—but you’re also not swallowing anything that does your body any good, either. The best no-calorie beverage? Plain old water.
