15-Year-Old Boy Kicked Off Plane And Abandoned - When Mother Realizes Why...She's Furious!
By Mike-Ross

A mother of a 15-year-old is furious after her son was taken off airplane and let alone simply because the flight was overbooked.
The Guardian reports that the young child was removed from his seat on flight EZY8333 to Toulouse while the plane was still in London Gatwick.
The 15 year old kid, Casper Read, was reportedly going to visit relatives in France, but it was only his second time flying on his own.
He had made it through the gate, however when he sat down in his seat, he discovered that another passenger had already claimed it.
Because the flight was overbooked, Casper was ordered off the plane and abandoned at the gate.
According to reports, before Casper had a chance to speak with his mother, his grandparents in France had already left their own home to embark on the two-hour journey to pick him up from the airport.

Although Casper’s mother, Stephanie Portal, eventually persuaded easyJet to put her son on the very last flight of the day, the flight ended up being delayed for three hours.
By the time Casper finally arrived in Toulouse to meet his grandparents, it was already well after midnight.
“It’s crazy. They left him alone in departures. Luckily, I had still not got on board my train to London and could come back and find him. If I had not been there I don’t know what would have happened – he’d have had no money for the train back or anything,” Portal said of the incident.
Although an easyJet spokeswoman has since apologized “for any inconvenience caused,” Portal says her son never should have been kicked off his flight in the first place.
“EasyJet is sorry that Casper Read’s flight from London Gatwick to Toulouse was overbooked. We are investigating why he was able to board the aircraft as he should have been informed at the gate,” the spokeswoman said. “EasyJet has a procedure to protect unaccompanied minors but unfortunately this was not followed on this occasion and so this will also be investigated.”
“That is really not what we would want. It’s just not our way,” Carolyn McCall, chief executive of easyJet, added. “We don’t see an overbooking issue. We don’t tend to overbook in peak periods.”
In recent months, several different airlines all over the world, most notably United, have come under scrutiny for forcibly removing passengers from planes due to overbooking issues.
