Rescuers Race To Car Accident To See Tiny Hand Of Kangaroo Reaching For Help

If you run over an animal, the right and normal thing to do is pull over, examine the scene and make sure that the animal is okay. Usually it may be a dog or a cat but in these story? It was a kangaroo. And by the grace of God, rescuers were there at the perfect time.
A car hit a kangaroo. The impact was so severe that the kangaroo died on the scene sadly. Rescuers arrived on the scene just to see if there was anything else that could be done. When they got there, they got the surprise of their life.
Melanie Fraser was one of the rescue workers on the scene at the moment. She checked the vital signs of the kangaroo and sadly deemed her as dead. But it was right at that moment, that Melanie saw something from the corner of her eye.
Melanie then looked inside the kangaroo’s pouch, and low and behold, there was a pink baby kangaroo, fighting for his life.
“Had he been left much longer, ants or the elements would have eventually killed him,” said Melanie.
It was love at first sight, but Fraser knew that the little kangaroo Dawson needed some serious help. So she decided to take Dawson to Christine Gilmore, who is a rehabilitation worker, and see if she could help.
And of course, she agreed. And now Dawson has been given everything he could imagine to grow to be big and strong…not to mention plenty of love!
Dawson even has another baby brother named Nelson, and the two cuddle and get along so well with each other. It’s a precious sight seeing them all bundled up together.
“Nelson is a little bigger than him, and they will grow together and be released together,” said Gilmore.
They have no plans of separating these two anytime soon. We are just so thankful that Melanie saw little Dawson’s hand reach out, and that he didn’t have the same fate as his mother.
We are so glad that Dawson was saved, and that now he is living the good life with his new little brother, and that they are both being well taken care of!
