Man Finds Odd Hatch In Forgotten Factory Tunnel, Shocked By What’s Inside
By Dreamer

An urban explorer’s video is spreading like wildfire across the internet after he stumbled upon a long forgotten hatch beneath a functional factory. After finding the hatch inside of a rarely used tunnel, he did what any curious person would and opened it – and that’s when he was left utterly shocked to see what was inside.
The clip was shared on Reddit after being posted by a YouTube channel named after the man who runs it, “Shiey.” Although his videos frequently get a fair amount of traffic, his most recent post seems to be soaring in popularity — and for good reason.

As it turns out, the man actually found himself a place to explore underneath a working factory after learning that there were a series of tunnels underneath. “While walking through the territory of a factory, located in the industrial area of the city, I noticed a weird concrete block with a metal gate on the side of it,” Shiey explained. “I opened it and a latter climb later, I was in a dark, small tunnel.”
Nothing would prepare him for what he was about to find when he stumbled across an odd door within one of the many pathways. There to explore, Shiey opened the door to reveal a secret hatch behind it that apparently not too many people knew about. Although it took him some effort to work free the latches that had sat in place for the past several decades, he did manage to get the metal hatch open and was left shocked to see what was behind it.
According to the video’s description, the man actually found “a fully stocked underground safe house” that likely dated back to WWII or maybe shortly thereafter during the Cold War. Inside was a wide variety of supplies, ranging from informative literature to safety gear like gas masks and military helmets.

Also inside were large amounts of clothing and what looked to be protective wear against radiation. In all, it looked to be a military nuclear fallout shelter with several people suggesting that the bunker was actually located in Lithuania for quite a few reasons.

For one, military enthusiasts state that the specific gas masks seen in the video are specific to the country. Furthermore, seeing how the writing inside was Russian, and Russia occupied Lituania during WWII, users suggest the evidence can only point to one specific time and location.

As he walked from room to room, Shiey would quickly realize that the underground bunker was massive. With several beds, tables, chairs, and other accommodations, it seems that whoever made the place was prepared to spend quite some time in there while keeping the maximum amount of people alive as possible.
In all, people were mostly just impressed with the absolutely incredible find that the man was able to experience, but it boils down to something more than just luck. As seen on his YouTube channel, Shiey explores different places quite frequently, meaning that he’s out there looking for new and exciting adventures.
When it comes down to it, you’re not going to simply be told about a secret place that has been long forgotten; you have to find it. It takes time and effort, but the best thing you can do if you want to get your hands on something like this is get off the couch, get out there, and start looking. There are treasures all around us — it just depends on how ambitious you are when it comes to finding one for yourself. For those of us who don’t have that opportunity, we can settle for living vicariously through explorers like Shiey, thanks to social media.
