WARNING: Court Rules THESE 2 Coca Cola Drinks As "POISON"!
By Dreamer

Before you buy that Sprite or Fanta, consider this: the courts in Nigeria just ruled that the amount of two substances in these Coca Cola drinks (sunset yellow and benzoic acid) are poisonous when mixed with vitamin C.

The National Agency For Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) was only charged $6,350 in fines, which the prosecutor said didn't even begin to cover his costs in investigation.
"It is manifest that NAFDAC has been grossly irresponsible in its regulatory duties to the consumers of Fanta and Sprite manufactured by Nigeria Bottling Company," the judge said. "NAFDAC has failed the citizens of this great nation by its certification as satisfactory for human consumption products ... which become poisonous in the presence of ascorbic acid."
The levels allowed of these preservatives are different than in other countries. Nigerian consumers are crying foul to their government food and drug regulators. Many are choosing to boycott Coca Cola until better regulations are made for the drinks, reports CNN.

While the allowable levels for benzoic acid are lower in the United States, it makes one uncomfortable to know that preservatives in Coke drinks, when mixed with Vitamin C (that many take), can form into a poisonous substance!
