A 9-year-old girl in Ohio frantically called her grandmother to save her life after her parents started shooting up heroin in their car.
According to Click 2 Houston, the child’s parents, Paula Smith and Charles Dove, were allegedly shooting up heroin in the front seat of their car while their daughter sat terrified in the back.
Dove reportedly passed out in the driver’s seat while Smith began going in and out of consciousness right before her daughter’s eyes.
Scared for her own safety, the quick-thinking young girl reportedly placed a frantic call to her grandmother, Ann Dove.
Dove later told authorities that her granddaughter was beyond frightened when she called and was scared she was going to die.
“She was very frantic, scared, crying, screaming, 'Grandma, I’m going to die,’” Dove said.
According to Click 2 Houston, the little girl didn’t get a chance to call 911 until Smith managed to pull the car over into an auto service parking lot.

When the 9-year-old girl called 911, the dispatcher reportedly tried to calm her down, but the child was completely terrified by what was happening with her parents.
Because authorities were able to trace the call to the exact location, police arrived at the scene just in time to revive Smith and Dove using Narcan.
According to Click 2 Houston, security cameras were able to catch the moment the little girl was rescued and taken from the vehicle by first responders.
Smith was reportedly arrested and charged with endangering a child, possession of an open flask, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Meanwhile, Dove was charged with three counts of theft and one count of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.
After the horrific incident, the little girl was finally reunited with her worried grandmother.
WILX has since shared this heartbreaking story on Facebook, where commenters slammed Smith and Dove for bringing their child along for their drug-filled ride.
“I get that addiction is real, but don't put your kids in this kind of situation!!! If you have a problem, please get help. If you have children, let them be with people who can take care of them!!! No child deserves this!!!!!!!!! You are supposed to take care of and protect your children, not the other way around!” one woman commented.
“This makes me sick to my stomach. My heart hurts! Thank god that lil girl had a phone n could call for help. This could have ended very badly I hope her parents don't get her back. They don't deserve children!” another added.
