Dad Wakes Up To Find His 3-Year-Old Twins Gone. Then They See What's In The Pond Outside

Two 3-year-old twins in Missouri have been found dead in a pond after their father reported them missing on Monday morning.
According to the Kansas City Star, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office has since identified the children as Arrabelle Wagner and Elijah Wagner.
Platte County Undersheriff Maj. Erik Holland said the children’s father woke up Monday morning to find that the twins were gone and immediately called 911.
Sadly, shortly after the twins’ father called 911 and ran outside to look for them around 10:14 a.m., the children’s bodies were discovered in a nearby pond.
At this time, police are unable to say who found the children in the pond outside.
According to Holland, Arrabelle, the little girl, was found first and somebody immediately tried to revive her.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, the little girl was quickly rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead around 1 p.m.
According to the Kansas City Star, first responders did not see the little boy, Elijah, when they first searched the pond, and many thought he may have gone back into the house to summon help.
However, the boy was later found in the pond and pronounced dead on the scene.
“We don’t have anything at this point that leads us to believe that this was anything other than a tragic accident but as with all deaths we’re going to investigate it thoroughly,” Holland said.
Investigators are reportedly still speaking with the children’s devastated father about what happened that morning.
“The time frame that I have is the father woke up and the children were not in the residence,” Holland said. “But we are still fresh into the investigation.”
The frantic father, as well as several neighbors, are said to have called police.
Fox 4 Kansas City has since shared this heartbreaking story on Facebook, where many parents have already come out in the father’s defense.
“I have a set of 4.5 yr old identical twin girls and when they are outside they scatter in opposite directions. You take your eyes off them for even just a second and you're in trouble. Accidents happen and in this case this family is forever changed by the death of their two babies. Leave this family be in their time of sorrow,” one mom commented.
“I hate that people feel the need to judge this father. He's probably going to spend the rest of his life blaming himself and didn't need anyone making him feel worse. Prayers to the family,” another commenter added.
