Mom Leaves Grocery Store Without Her Toddler Daughter, And It Wasn't A Mistake

Authorities are frantically searching for a heartless mother who seems to have intentionally abandoned her toddler in a California grocery store.
According to WREG, the shocking incident happened at the Food 4 Less in Riverside earlier this week.
In security footage that police later checked out, the mother can be seen walking into the store with the child.
When she leaves several minutes later, her toddler is nowhere to be seen.
Authorities were reportedly called to the scene around 5:55 p.m. on Sunday after store employees discovered the 2-year-old girl.
According to ABC 7 News, the toddler in the surveillance footage can be seen wandering off at one point, but her mother does not go searching for her.
The incident reportedly turned even more bizarre when the mother continued to shop in the store.
According to the footage, a Good Samaritan can be seen walking up to the mother while she is shopping to return the toddler.
At that point, the mother reportedly told the Good Samaritan to “just leave her” before she paid for her groceries and left the store without her daughter.
Police are fairly certain that the mother intentionally abandoned her daughter, who was able to point out the woman once she was shown the surveillance footage.
As of Monday evening, the toddler has not been reported missing by any concerned family members.
According to ABC 7 News, the mother is believed to be between 20 and 30 years of age. She reportedly had dark hair and may have tattoos on her right arm. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and denim shorts.
After WREG shared this shocking story on Facebook, many commenters struggled to come up with reasons why the mother abandoned her daughter in a public grocery store.
“Well, the only bright side is that she at least left her where she would immediately be found, she realized she wasn't 'parent material' before it was too late, and she probably saved this child from a horrible life. I hope the child goes to a patient, understanding, loving home that will give her the love and attention she deserves,” one woman commented.
“Well thank GOD this child was saved from her own mother and is hopefully young enough to overcome the abuse and neglect I am sure she has suffered - God bless this child with amazing parents and family please,” another added.
