An employee's dedication is very valuable to an employer. When one man was fired from his job as a checker at a Missouri Walmart, everyone was shocked. Frank Swanson was a longtime cashier at the West Plains, Missouri Walmart. He was passionate about his job, and always provided customers with wonderful service.

Frank suffered a devastating accident when he was a child, and was put into a coma for six weeks. But, he doesn't let his disability stop him from spreading joy to others. Customers and friends say that Frank would always greet them with a smile and a hug, and his kindness was very much appreciated in the small Missouri community.

Frank was a great worker, and customers say just seeing him in the store would brighten their day. But, just 20 days short of his 20th year of Walmart service, Frank was fired. No one could believe that the joyful and smiling employee was let go from a job he was so dedicated to. Frank's friends and family organized a protest to support him after he was let go from his longtime job.
