A young boy has gotten a new pair of shoes. While most kids get excited by the ones that light up or are superhero themed, this little guy in light-green shirt and khaki shorts is all riled up about another feature. His new shoes squeak!
While this was not advertised on the package, the boy has found his new favorite thing. As you’ll see in the adorable clip below, every step he takes is a new experience. His feet connect to the ground and his shoes squeak. And as soon as he hears the silly sound, his face lights up with laughter.

The video gets right to the point. The boy, who is standing on carpet, stomps his right foot down on the ground. As soon as he does, *SQUEAK*, his shoes make a sound.
Each time he takes a step, the boy squeals with delight at the fun sound he is hearing. The boy remains standing and is having fun laughing with mom over the sound. She seems to be having as much fun as him.
The video was uploaded to Rumble in the third quarter of 2015. Since then it has been viewed a quarter million times and counting. This is what they posted as a video description:
“Mom came home with an extra special gift for her adorable baby boy today. It seemed to be a pair of baby shoes, but these were no ordinary shoes. These shoes squeaked whenever the baby walked. The clip was also posted to YouTube as one of America’s Funniest Home Videos. So perhaps you’ve seen it before on the television program. Another 300,000 watched it on this platform. And dozens left comments including…

“Wait till he realizes the left one does it too.”
“If you oil those shoes so that they stop squeaking the baby will not laugh anymore,” one user wrote about the parents’ predicament.

This video has been very popular on the internet because it shows the boy’s pure joy at such a simple sound. If only adults could appreciate life in moments like this…
