Walmart Cashier Senses Mom Is In Distress, Takes Swift Action. Now She’s A Hero [video]

Some of our favorite stories are of people performing random acts of kindness to each other. It seems that so much of ur news is negative, so being able to find a truly heartwarming story is always fun.
And we have just found a wonderful story, thanks to Inside Edition about a South Carolina family that has found a most unexpected and generous angel in a most unusual place. You are going to love this story when you watch the video.
Twenty seven year old Ashley Jordan was finishing up her grocery shopping at a Columbia, South Carolina Walmart when she received the most unexpected and wonderful gift.
As she, her husband Michael, and their one year old daughter approached the checkout with their next two weeks of groceries, the cashier sized them up and and said “I think y’all need a blessing tonight!”
Ashley recounted the story with People Magazine, saying “She said [those words]. And she waked around to the machine and swiped the card. She said ‘God told me to bless y’all!’ I said ‘Are you serious? Okay, thank you!’”
Sharnique Dasant was the Walmart employee at the register, and after they finished the transaction, the two women took a selfie together, which has now gone viral on Ashley’s Facebook page, where it has gotten more than twenty thousand likes.
Ashley says “I wanted her friends and family to know how genuine she is, because we need to see these good stories in the world today, and it’s good to know there’s people out there who will do a blessing like this. It has opened my heart. I plan on paying it forward in the future. We’re usually in and out, but Sharnique is such a wonderful woman, and we’ve become close! I don’t know what she saw in me to do what she did, but she says she heard a voice tell her. There are good people out there. I hope more people will open their heart to helping those around them. Everyone can learn from Sharnique!”
Sharnique was tracked down by WLTX, a local television station, and said of the incident “As we’re scanning and scanning, she got in front of me and it’s like I saw a different face on her. And I just had like a little man on my shoulder that was like, ‘Give her a $100 dollars, give her $100 dollars.’ And I was like, ‘give her $100 dollars?’ Like, I’m talking to myself like, ‘Give her 100 dollars!’ So I was like, I said, ‘Yeah, God told me to give you $100,’ and she said ‘What? What? What are you talking about?’ So I said, ‘He told me to give you $100 dollars.’ So I went ahead and I slid my card. I went around the register and I slid it for her.”
Jordan who has three children says that she and her husband plan on introducing Sharnique to them very soon. She also says that she has shopped at that Walmart regularly, but has never met anyone quite like her before.
