Tiny Rescued Hummingbird Waits Patiently For Food, But Watch Her Reaction When Fed
By Dreamer

Almost everyone can admit that hummingbirds are adorable creatures! They're tiny, they flutter and they love sugar - what's not to love? So when Benjamin Danforth, from Vancouver, British Columbia, saw a helpless little hummingbird injured and alone on the sidewalk, he knew he had to get involved!

Soon after rescuing the hummingbird, who's now named Rofous, from the cold Canadian streets, Benjamin and his new feathered friend are inseparable. Not only does Rufous rely on Benjamin for care and warmth, but for every meal as well! Not many people know that hummingbirds actually eat insects, in addition to sugary nectar from flowers. But for today's meal, Benjamin whips up a delicious batch of sugar water to keep Rufous' spirits and energy up!

Sitting patiently on a soft, pink cloth, Rufous awaits his bottle! A few little chirps and flutters pass before the delicious bottle is in front of the grateful hummingbird and he's slurping it down! If it wasn't for Benjamin and his generosity, Rufous would be dead. We need more caring people in the world like Benjamin! Take a peek at Rufous' mealtime ritual in the heartwarming video below. It's rare to see such an energetic bird sit so calmly in the presence of a human - it's obvious they have a special bond!
