Soldier and dog are killed. Airline holds special ceremony as they transfer casket to new plane
By Dreamer

If you’ve flown before you know all the horror stories that go around about how airlines can be extremely disrespectful to passengers and their luggage. What you probably haven’t noticed, however, are some of the most incredible things that airlines do behind the scenes.
The Delta Honor Guard is a select group of Delta Airlines employees and luggage handlers. This particular Delta Honor Guard group in the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta gathered on the tarmac for a soldier and his dog who had been killed in action. The Delta Honor Guard have a ceremony for their caskets as they are transferred to another plane. This moment is so emotional that you can even see bystanders watching from the terminal windows.
The second and smaller coffin is for the soldier’s dog that specifically trained to detect IEDs. Imagine what it would be like to be part of the Delta Honor Guard and have to perform a couple of these ceremonies every week. We at Aww Daily want to sincerely thank Delta Airlines, for the genuine respect they’ve shown America’s fallen heroes.
