Church tips struggling pizza delivery man $700, never expects it to have such a viral effect

Jeff Louis is a pizza delivery man for Gionino’s Pizzeria in Ohio. One day, he was asked to come in early to deliver a large order to a church in the surrounding area. Without much hesitation, Jeff obliged and completed his delivery in a timely fashion. When the pastor of the church paid for the order, he chose to tip Jeff $100. While this is a huge amount, it didn’t stop there. The rest of the congregation chipped in and eventually the tip totaled over $700.
Because of the stunning gesture, Jeff immediately recorded a message on his phone afterwards in order to document his feelings and what had just happened. He starts off the video by saying the “most amazing things happened to [him] today.” He then goes on by saying how he’s been struggling to find himself and stay clean, and for a group of strangers to care so much about him, it really inspires him to keep moving forward.
I don’t think the church or the pastor could have ever thought they would have such a profound impact on this man’s life, but this just goes to show how little gestures can add up.
