The happy newlyweds were enjoying the speeches at their wedding reception when panic arose as a woman began choking. As serious as the situation was to get immediate help, many people in the back thought it was all just a joke. It was supposed to be a fairy tale wedding, but things quickly went off the rails.
It seemed unlikely that something like this would happen shortly after the words were shared to Cody the groom, and also firefighter, "If I'm ever in a position where I need a fireman to help me, I hope it's you or I hope it's someone like you." The next speech was given by Cody's dad about how proud he was of his son to be a firefighter - and that's when the choking occurred.
It may have been strange timing for all of this to take place, however, everything said about Cody was about to be displayed right before everyone's eyes. He may have been a groom that day, but that didn't take away from who he is on a daily basis. Saving people's lives is his passion, and that is what motivated him to rush away from his beautiful bride Kelly's side, right on over to the woman who was choking on a piece of steak. It was just his automatic reaction.
It took a while for all the guests to realize that this was actually happening, that the woman was really choking and that Cody and Kelly weren't just acting. Kelly assures everyone later that she is not an actress saying, "I was just stunned by what was happening and in shock." Watch how Cody's quick reaction left everyone amazed in the video below.
