Imagine looking out the window that overlooks your backyard to see a wild animal just having a grand old time in your sprinkler. One couple apparently gets to look at this view nearly every day, but they are partially to blame as they’ve made their backyard into somewhat of a playground for the moose that frequent it.
In the video below, the couple goes to work setting up a sprinkler in their backyard, well aware that their daily visitors will soon be approaching. The man giggles like a playful little boy as he sets up the sprinkler, on a mission to get the sprinkler running in time for the big arrival, as the woman captures the fun-loving footage.
The entire family gathers around quietly, each taking up residence beside one of the many windows that overlooks the backyard, eager to see the moose play in the sprinklers for the first time.
And then the show that they’ve all been waiting for commences, as the baby moose leads the way into the backyard, heading right toward the sprinkler, as mommy moose stands close behind. The baby doesn’t waste any time and immerses herself into the sprinkler fun. She dips her snout into the sprouting water and even gives the water a couple of licks. She shakes her head and runs behind a tree, as if she is hiding from the big bad sprinkler. But, her curiosity gets the best of her as she comes barreling from behind the tree slipping along the way. She slides across the wet grass as if she is on a slip-n-slide. After she gets back up on her wobbly legs, she stands in front of the moving sprinkler, and is suddenly surprised as the shooting water reaches her back. She then escapes once again on her long lanky legs.
Curious, but hesitant the baby keeps coming back to the sprinkler as the mama moose goes about her business grazing in the grass behind the tree. It’s really no different than a human child playing at a park, as a mother stands close by, letting the kid get his/her energy out.
As the family watches on, they giggle in delight at the sight. The baby moose is now sprinting in and out of the yard, enjoying every moment. At one point, the baby stands directly in front of the shooting water and gets pelted right in the snout, but that doesn’t stop her, as she just walks away briefly before returning to the scene of the chaos.
Similar to the family’s response, commenters got a kick out of the moose extravaganza…

“Awe this is awesome!!!! The kids loved watching this!”
“That is so adorable….those long gangling legs, it’s funny how most animals do seem to love playing with water.”
If only we all could be so lucky to have this daily form of entertainment. We can be pretty sure that this baby moose is going to try to convince her mama to come back to the “neighborhood water park.”
