Intruder Breaks Into Home. Then Mom Calls 911 And Asks For Permission To Shoot
By Dreamer

Sarah, a teen mom from Oklahoma, was home alone with her 3-month-old son on New Year’s Eve, when the unthinkable happened. An intruder invaded and attempted to break into Sarah’s home.
To make matters worse, Sarah’s husband had just passed away the week before from cancer. With no one to help her out, Sarah quickly sprinted to the bedroom and called 911.
But it wasn’t an ordinary call. In fact, it was quite shocking and completely surreal. The operator answered the call, and then Sarah asked her one shocking question.
“I’ve got two guns in my hand. Is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door?”

Diane Graham, the dispatcher that answered Sarah’s call, replied, “Well, you have to do whatever you can do to protect yourself. I can’t tell you that you can do that, but you do what you have to do to protect your baby.”
The intruder kicked down the door and attacked Sarah with a knife. She immediately reacted by shooting and killing 24-year-old Justin Shane Martin with a shotgun.
This act likely saved her and her baby boy’s life. “You have to make a choice, you or him. I chose my son over him.”
Because Sarah acted in self-defense, she was not charged for the incident.
