Group Gets Odd Tip To Check Nativity Scene, Finds Hidden Miracle Under Jesus

Christmas is a special time of year for many people, including children who don’t have a home of their own. This is especially the case at The Children’s Home in Amarillo, Texas, which provides a place for at-risk children to stay. Recently, the receptionist received an odd phone call, offering the staff at the home a tip to check their outdoor nativity scene, and they were more than shocked to find a hidden miracle under baby Jesus.
Staff at The Children’s Home have declared a “Christmas Miracle” after their receptionist answered their ringing phone and received quite the odd request. During the call, the unidentified individual recommended that they check their Nativity scene outside. The receptionist went outside to take a look and found an envelope hidden under baby Jesus that contained a check for a whopping $50,000.

The group’s President, Darrin Murphy, explained that “staffers contacted the donor whose name was on the check,” according to STL Today. The man informed them that he wished to remain anonymous, but he wanted to help after being inspired by the kids who The Children’s Home helps.
“[The donor] said that one of the reasons he did it was that he gets to see our kids and…their interaction, how they treat each other and how they treat their house parents,” according to IJ Review. “And he was inspired by them.”
The check has been labeled a blessing for The Children’s Home, considering that the home is 75% funded by donations from the community. As for the kids, the donation has left them “very excited,” especially for it to have happened during this special time of the year.
There’s no doubt in my mind that God played a part in the generous donation. Whether the man who donated was a believer or not, his check will surely help these kids in need, and there is no better time than now for a “Christmas miracle.” Hopefully, more people will be inspired by this man’s selflessness and will pay-it-forward to someone who may need help and show more people what Christmas is really about.
