6-Year-Old Boy Joins A Table Of Cops And Prays For Their Safety Over Breakfast
By Dreamer

After dining at Bob Evans with his mother, 6-year-old Joshua approached a table of police officers, grabbed their hands and began praying with the group.
His mother was able to capture this on camera. With the number of police brutalities in the U.S. tensions have been high between officers and citizens. There is a feeling of distrust permeating the streets and people have grown to fear the police instead of relying on them for help. This inspirational photo is a reminder of the good that most officers possess and their willingness to work alongside the community.

Joshua was praying for the group’s safety and had thanked them for their service. He has been raised in a church that has taught him the power of prayer and that it was okay for him to share his religion openly with others. It was his way of showing his love for the officers.

Joshua’s mother, Kelly Garza, was extremely proud of her son. She shared the image on Facebook and received comments from others praising her for her son’s compassion and also thanking the officers for their willingness to let the boy pray over them. They could have easily ignored his request and continued with their meals, but they appreciated that the boy cared about them, even though they were strangers, so they were happy to oblige.

The St. Petersburg Police Department found the photo equally as inspiring and shared the image on their social media account as well.
