Granny Hears Chilling Sound In Attic, Solves Horrifying 2-Year Mystery

After spending the past two years in agony, a Pennsylvania grandmother’s attention was brought to the attic after hearing a chilling noise that came from it. However, she’d solve a horrifying 2-year mystery in the process – but what she found would haunt her for life.

It all started back on November 1st, 2014 when 21-year-old Dyquain Rogers vanished from his home in Erie, Pennsylvania. Although some people thought he just packed up and left his life behind, his family knew better and immediately launched search efforts to find the man who might be injured or worse.

Unfortunately, the investigation, which involved the police at that point, yielded no results, but the family never gave up hope that the missing man would one day show up. Dyquain’s mother Carol Rogers expressed such sentiments, saying, “I just kept pretending like he just left Erie, so I just kept focusing on that, that he left here, that’s what I kept saying.”

Almost two years to the day of his disappearance, the family got some answers after the man’s grandmother heard a chilling noise coming from her attic. After the elderly woman called for help, you can imagine the shock and sense of relief as authorities discovered Dyquain’s mummified corpse in the attic.

Apparently, the man’s body had decomposed to the point that it was falling apart, resulting in his corpse falling against the attic door and making an unsettling noise. Although there was a sense of relief after finally solving the 2-year mystery, the family is now grieving the loss of a loved one.

Currently, police state that they believe Dyquain committed suicide and a distant Facebook post may help prove that theory. According to the post, the seemingly flustered man previously wrote, “People are acting strange lately and that’s why I’m doing it for me, not them.”

Of course, the family didn’t want to believe that their loved one had taken his own life, but they are coming to terms with it. Unfortunately, they may not get all the answers they’re looking for as Carol later explained, “They said they cannot do an autopsy because there is nothing to do an autopsy on.”

This will surely affect the Rogers family for years to come, but at least they now have some sense of closure. Even better yet, they can now begin to reflect on Dyquain’s beautiful life and laying him to rest, rather than the unfortunate nature of his mysterious disappearance.
