School Board Shoves Islam Down Teen’s Throat, So Mom Shoves Something Down THEIR Throats

The mother of a teenager in Tennessee was outraged when she saw what her daughter’s middle school was teaching its students about religion.
Michelle Edmisten demanded that Bluff City Middle School in Sullivan County pull a textbook from the curriculum because of its chapter on the Islamic faith, WJHL reported. But when the school board refused to take the situation seriously, the irate mother continued to voice her concerns to them and to local media.
Edmisten believed that the amount of information the school was feeding her child about Islam was contrary to their family’s Christian beliefs and decision to raise their daughter with Christian values.
“It is time as parents, teachers and administrators we stand up and take back our families, our schools and our country,” Edmisten said at a school board meeting.
Although she was reportedly the only parent willing to speak out about the issue, she didn’t back down from her stance.
“I would like to see the Pearson book yanked from the school immediately. I would like to see parents, Christians, veterans, anyone that’s anyone, stand up for this fight,” she continued.
“How can I, as a Christian, say that I have these values? And I want to instill these values in my daughter, but then say, ‘It’s OK, go ahead and do it’?” she said.

While the school board listened to the mother’s concerns, it essentially ignored them, telling Edmisten that changing the curriculum anytime soon would be too difficult but that it would “look into it.”
Many schools have avoided any mention of, much less teaching, the Christian faith and Christian values, but apparently teaching our kids about Islam is somehow appropriate.
