Woman Has Strange Request For Cop After Showing Him Her ‘Bubba’

A Tennessee police officer was sent out to a woman’s home in Bradley County after receiving a call that said she needed some assistance but wasn’t specific about the issue. When Deputy Corey Loftis arrived, he didn’t realize what he was in for when she showed him her “Bubba” and asked for an unusual favor.

When Officer Loftis walked into the home, he saw an “agitated” situation and wasn’t immediately sure what to do. The woman went into detail about what led to this call, saying that it was a job only a police officer could do. After she showed him who Bubba was, Loftis made an immediate plan of action that left the woman in shock, seeing what the cop was doing on the ground.
Bubba is the woman’s teenage son who suffers from autism and had worked himself into a frenzy before his mother Christy Richardson resorted to calling for help. Knowing that the boy loves police officers, the exhausted mom thought that if she called a cop it would surely calm him down. Loftis arrived alone, and when he learned what was going on, he didn’t hesitate to act with the most amazing thing he did next that effectively diffused the tension.
Bradley County Sheriff’s Department posted a photo on social media sent to them as a thank you by Richardson, showing what their incredible cop did for her son. Loftis asked if Bubba wanted to do push-ups with him as a way to teach him how to channel his frustration. The teen agreed, and he and the cop dropped to the ground and started doing as many as they could before they broke out into laughter.

“Bubba was laughing before Dep. Loftis left, which at the time I thought was impossible!” Richardson reported back to the police department, with praise for the cop who had accomplished the seemingly impossible. “I can’t thank Officer Loftis enough for being so caring through it all.”
