Man Takes Picture Of Rowdy Boys At Taco Bell, But Never Expected What Happened Next

Sitting alone at a table near the registers, a man was enjoying his lunch when a group of four boys came in the Taco Bell. They immediately caught his attention, but the diner wasn’t sure what seemed amiss about them until he saw what was happening at the counter and snapped a picture.
Josh Walker said the typical teens came barreling into the air-conditioned restaurant for some reprieve from the heat and to enjoy a taco and drink. They were loud from the start, talking about everything from girls to grades and jokes they thought were funny. Everything seemed as average as could be, and they weren’t really being a bother. Then, a “6’5″ giant” truck driver sitting in the corner came up to them.

As later explained in a social media post of what unfolded from here, Walker said that he found it odd that only one of the boys had ordered anything. The other two looked on with a hungry stare but kept their dining friend company anyway. The truck driver happened to notice this too and stood up and shouted at the teens, “Y’all want a slushie? Come on up here, let’s get you guys something.”
The three hungry kids immediately jumped from their chairs and ran to the counter with huge smiles on their faces. The formidable man was right behind them, equally as excited but for a different reason. He invited them to order whatever they wanted in addition to the slushie, and they gladly took him up on the offer. The driver was in a hurry to leave since he had a schedule to keep, so he asked the cashier if he could pay for it all before they started making it.

“Card swiped, a goodbye given, and this gentle man quickly went for the back door without asking for a thank you for the young boys,” Walker wrote about what he witnessed. On the good Samaritan’s way out the door, he passed by the observer’s table, who nodded at him in approval of what he had just done, and got a smile in return.
As a final goodbye, the truck driver lifted his hand in farewell to his new young friends still at the counter with a tray full of food before them, who shouted an emphatic “thank you!” to this gentle giant. The thoughtful truck driver then dashed off to his rig and drove into the sunset, as the boys sat down and ate what may have been their only meal that day.
“Today, Love and Kindness looked like a 12 pack of soft tacos and 3 Starburst Freezes,” Walker concluded, feeling encouraged by this stranger’s example to do something good for others. Feeding these needy teens did as much for the truck driver as it did for the recipients of his kindness, who can rest assured that these kids go to bed with full bellies and happy hearts that someone went out of their way for them.
What this truck driver did was more than most people do. He not only put food on the table for these teens, he taught a lesson in kindness they won’t soon forget, especially if they see an opportunity to bless another person in the future.
