The active ingredient in talcum powder is talc, however, when used over the genital area, it can get trapped in the ovary and remain there for years. The particles become toxic, causing infection and ovarian cancer.

4) VO5 Hair Conditioner
VO5 hair conditioning as a product contains the following toxins which are actually labeled on the bottle and is one of the common household products that cause cancer.
FD & red: These are carcinogenic substances Fragrance: contains substances that can cause dermatitis Formaldehyde: a neurotoxic element which is also carcinogenic and can cause skin inflammation and dermatitis.
This product contains the following labeled toxins:
Polysorbate 80: A toxic substance containing P-dioxane. It can cause dermatitis, hives, skin inflammation and breathing problems.

This item contains propoxur, which although is mentioned on the label, but you may not know that it is a potent neurotoxin and is a probable B2 human carcinogen. Studies proved that PPX, which is also an insecticide, caused urinary, bladder cancer in wistar rats.

6) Cover Girl Foundation Make-up
Cover girl foundation make up contains several toxic substances mentioned on the label like:
Parabens, which can cause dermatitis. Triethanolamine, which in combination with Nitrites can be carcinogenic as they produce Nitrosamines, which are known to cause tumors in animal species. Talc is another carcinogenic substance causing cancer and lung disease. Lanolin, obtained from sheep wool contains DDT and pesticides. BHA is also an ingredient that has been found in lists of carcinogenic substances.

8) Lysol Disinfectant
Lysol contains Ortho phenyphenol, which was observed to cause bladder tumors in rats when exposed to the substance in high doses. The substance can also cause mild to severe skin irritation and upper respiratory tract infection. The US Environmental Protection Agency has designated an exposure limit for OPP at 39mg/kg/day which is the safe limit.

Always wear gloves when you handle products like Ortho weed killer. The solution contains substances like sodium 2, 4—dichlorophenoxyacetate, both of which are toxic and mentioned on the label. These are dangerous for the reproductive system and can contribute to soft tissue sarcoma, lymphoma and various cancers.

11) Heavy Duty Cleaner
Most heavy duty cleaners are among the household products that cause cancer, as they use ingredients and substances that are not labeled on the container. Crystalline silica is one of these products, which is carcinogenic and can cause inflammations of the skin, eye and lungs.
