Boy Sells Lemonade So His Family Can Save A Life, He Needs $30,000

A young boy in North Dakota is going above and beyond to make sure his parents can afford to bring home his soon-to-be baby sister by raising money through a lemonade stand.
The Martins have been serving as a foster family for several years, but they’re finally ready to take the plunge and adopt a new addition.
They desperately want to bring home a baby girl, and 9-year-old Kiefer Martin is trying to raise enough money to make it happen ASAP.
“We are a foster family for the county, so we have been doing that for a couple years now.” Kiefer’s mom, Emily, told Valley News Live. “After seeing the need for families we have decided this is where our heart is pulling us.”
While they wait for their baby girl to arrive, Kiefer is selling lemonade and bird houses to help pay for his parents’ steep adoption costs.
“We have to go pick up the baby where ever it’s born, and we said we would pick em’ up anywhere in the United States,” he said.
It will cost the Martins about $30,000 to bring home their baby, so Kiefer is willing to do whatever it takes to raise the money in time.
“They want someone to come home to stay, so that’s our goal is to let them come home and stay forever,” said Emily.
