If You Chop Your Wood With It Standing Up, You Been Doing It Wrong, This Is The Right Way To Do It

While winter weather is almost done (or is at least supposed to be), we might still have a few chilly nights ahead of us. If you have a wood stove or a fireplace, you still might want to burn some wood on those cold nights.
But if chopping wood is a chore that you struggle with, Crazy Russian Hacker has a video for you. And unless you’re cutting wood with an ax like him, you’re doing it all wrong. And it’s a lot more work than it needs to be.
Check out the viral video down below…
Within the first 30-seconds of the video, the Crazy Russian Hacker shows you the trick.
Just take a log and lay it on top of another log perpendicularly. The length of the log should be pointing at you.
Take your axe and get in a sturdy stance. Swing the blade at the center of the log and it will split right down the middle.
While other people have shown tricks splitting logs with a rubber tire, this hack is even easier.
After demonstrating his tips for splitting wood, you’ll learn why it’s a waste of time to split wood vertically.
First off, if you split it on the dirt, the log will just get driven down into the dirt. So if you’re bent on chopping with the log facing, put it on a large log.
As you’ll see, it’s actually more dangerous to split it vertically. Plus the axe can get stuck and it burns a lot more energy.
