Remove Pet Odors & Smells For Good With This Unique DIY Deodorizer
By Dreamer

This trick will keep your house smelling fresh and clean without shelling out hundreds on pricey steam cleaners.
Here’s what you need:
1 mason jar
1 piece of cardstock/small notecard
Essential oils
Baking soda
Hole punch

First. Fill your mason jar about a quarter of the way up with baking soda. Now drop in anywhere from 20-30 drops of your favorite scented essential oil. Keep in mind this is what your house is going to smell like, so our vote is for something fresh, like lemon, rosemary, peppermint, or lavender.

Once your ingredients are in the jar, it’s time to assemble. Using the lid of the mason jar, trace a circle into the notecard which will fit inside the lip of the lid. Punch holes through it and place it inside the lid and screw it all into place.

Now, put on your favorite disco hit and “Shake, shake, shake” until your white powder is fully mixed.

Take it to your smelliest carpets and sprinkle it onto the floors. Go easy here, it doesn’t take much! After letting it sit for about 20 minutes, it’s time for the vacuum. This part is necessary if you don’t want your carpets to have mysterious white dots or if you want to avoid any potential skin irritation next time you get into a downward dog on your living room floor!

Give this a try next time you feel like your home smells more like a Petco than a relaxing haven, and you will be happily surprised by how big of a change can come in less than an hour’s time.
