When this newlywed couple got married, their small two bedroom house was the perfect size for them both. It had everything they needed, plus a beautiful backyard. But when they discovered they were having TWINS, they knew they were going to need more space, and quickly. But they weren’t going to be able to afford a new house.
Luckily, they had an idea that was just plain genius.
When this family learned they were having twins, they needed more room in a hurry. So the husband began by enlisting his dad’s help to construct a base over the stairwell.
Once that was secured, they covered it with treated floor boards.
Voila! A study and a play area, and little bit more room for everyone!

This is such a great idea. It’s a relatively cheap way of giving you and your family just the right amount of wiggle room when you know you won’t be able to uproot yourself right away. I’ll definitely be keeping this idea in mind!
