Erin, a blogger for The Organized LIfe, let us in on a simple and efefctive trick for cleaning that dust and filth stuck on lamp shades.
She writes:
“I stared at all the dusty lamp shades,” Erin wrote on her blog post about the cleaning trick. “They were really gross, but I hadn’t found anything that could get the dust off effectively. Then I remember having read about a simple trick that was supposed to remove it with ease.”
Erin's simple secret is to use a lint roller! How clever. Lint rollers aren't just for clothes, you can use them on many other things to remove that stuck on dust and it's so easy!
What is Erin’s secret? Her lint roller.
Erin grabbed the lint roller and gently rubbed it against the lamp shade. It is so effective you will go through a few sheets but you will have your lamo looking as clea as the day your brought it home.
“I had to change the roller tape half way through because after it fills with dust, it loses that stickiness that pulls the dust from the shade,” Erin wrote on her post.
Give it a try. You’ll find that using a lint roller makes dusting your lamp shades a no-hassle activity.
