Teen sisters lose their lives after crash involving tractor trailer on highway in Georgia

Two teen sisters, 14 years old and 18 years old, have lost their lives after a crash involving a tractor trailer.
Desirae Lee Cannon, 18, and Haley Cannon, 14, from Toombs County, Georgia, passed away following the collision on Tuesday.
The sisters were riding in a car Tuesday afternoon when the vehicle overturned into the path of a tractor trailer, according to Georgia State Patrol.
Emergency services responded to the crash at 4:18 p.m. Both Desirae and Haley were pronounced dead at the scene.

In a Facebook post, Toombs County High School identified Desirae as a senior and Haley as being in 8th grade.
“Please keep their family and friends as well as our schools and our community in your thoughts and prayers during this trying time,” the post read. “Our hearts are deeply saddened as we mourn the tragic loss…”
A GoFundMe set up to help with funeral expenses. It has already raised more than $8,000.
