113-year-old Maria Branyas had got the attention of the news after she celebrated her milestone birthday in March. However, only weeks later she made the news again after beating coronavirus.
Maria was stuck in isolation for weeks after being diagnosed with coronavirus a little time after her birthday but during that time she only suffered mild symptoms.
The great great grandmother, born in Mexico, has now survived the flu pandemic of 1918-1919 and the Spanish Civil War of 1936 to 1939.

Via a tweet posted by her daughter, Maria thanked everyone for their kind get well wishes and said nothing will ever be the same again.
“In the solitude of my room, fearless and hopeful, I don’t quite understand what’s going on in the world. But I think nothing will be the same again,” she wrote on April 2.
Family reunion
“You need a new order, a change in the hierarchy of values and priorities, a New Human Age . . . Health and strength, you will succeed,” she said from the care home where she has lived for two decades in Olot, Catalonia.
Maria has three children, one of whom is 86 years old, 11 grandchildren, the oldest being 60 and 13 great-grandchildren, as per BBC News.
