Dad of two girls dies due to coronavirus two years after receiving MND diagnosis

Coronavirus has been impacting our world as we know it. And today we have a very sad story about another victim to this fairly unknown virus.
Tributes have been flooding in after a 45-year-old father-of-two passed away after contracting coronavirus in Kettering, UK.
Craig Rushton, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease two years ago, became the UK’s youngest coronavirus victim after passing away on March 16. His wife confirmed his passing via a heart touching post on social media.
Through Craig’s own blog page – which he started after his MND diagnosis in 2018 – Sally wrote: “My Amazing Craig passed away yesterday morning at 6.20am. We are truly heartbroken … Last Tuesday he was taken unwell and we have since spent the last 6 days in isolation.
“Craig’s chest infection was confirmed as Covid-19. How dare that take Craig who was already facing this (MND), the most vile and evil of diseases.”

As per reports, Craig had worked as a shoe designer for most of his life. Sally hailed his love of nature and history, continuing: “My Amazing Craig, I love you forever and ever, from your Amazing Sally and your Amazing girls.”
Later in the post, she wrote: ‘To those of you that knew Craig, before his MND diagnosis, after his diagnosis and to all that follow this his blog, I’m sure you knew or could tell what a wonderfully kind and caring person he was.
“He welcomed everyone. There were no airs and graces with Craig. He loved the world. He absorbed the world. He was one of the most intelligent people I know that would absorb information and could somehow explain just about anything.”
Extreme measures are being taken all over the world to slow the spread of COVID-19, with borders having been closed and self-isolation protocols put in place.
Even so, it looks like it could be quite some time before some measure of normality returns. Thus far there have been over 200,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide and a death toll that rises every day.
