IKEA Is Allowing Stray Dogs Who Are Stuck In The Bitter Cold With No Place To Go To Stay In Their Stores
By ShawnMax

Do you ever think about all the stray dogs in the world and get kind of sad? Same. If only there was something we could do to protect them, especially during cold winter temperatures, right?
Well, one IKEA store located in Catania, Italy figured that there was probably something they could do about this, and decided to take matters into their own hands.
The store has recently begun to open their doors to any stray dog who might be wandering outside in the cold to come inside and warm up for as long as they need.
Be still our hearts!
Staff at the IKEA store let the pups lay on the cozy rugs on display, and are even fed and treated like an actual pet. If there ever was a good deed to do around the holidays, this IKEA store has done it, and we applaud them!
The store doesn’t discriminate against any kind of dog. From golden retrievers to labs and any kind of mutt, if it doesn’t have a home, it’s coming inside to warm up!

One customer who wandered into the store one day was blown away by the amount of dogs without a home who were hanging out in the store, and IKEA’s generosity to take them in.
“My reaction was pure amazement,” said Martine Taccia, the customer. “It’s not a common thing.”
After inquiring about all the dogs in the store, she couldn’t believe how much the IKEA staff does for these homeless dogs.
“The dogs receive daily food and pampering from IKEA’s employees and customers,” Taccia said. “Some dogs have even found a family, going home with customers.”
Taccia wasn’t the only customer in awe of what this Italian retailer was up to.
“I felt a feeling of deep tenderness and great happiness in seeing dogs crouched in the exhibition space at the entrance of the IKEA,” said Beppe Liotta, a second IKEA customer who visited the store one day.
“If all the stores that had the space would make a place of refuge for strays, I would be really happy,” Liotta added.
We can totally agree with that!

Really, everyone is loving this generous act that IKEA has done for these pups.
“Thank God there are still good people in the world who help poor animals,” one Instagram commenter wrote.
“THANK YOU IKEA,” someone else wrote on the social media app.
IKEA has always felt strongly and advocated for animals. Not too long ago, they partnered with Home For Hope, a company that offers tips in finding your dream home, in an effort to encourage people to adopt pets. The campaign involved IKEA placing cardboard cutouts of shelter dogs in many of its stores.
